PasvoraCV Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website www.pasvoracv.com and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you use social login (Google, LinkedIn), we receive the information you authorize such providers to share, which may include your name, email, and profile picture.
2.2 Resume Data
The content you enter into our resume builder — including work history, education, skills, contact details, and any other text or images you upload — is stored securely to generate your resume and portfolio. This data is yours. We do not use it for advertising or sell it to third parties.
2.3 Payment Information
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe and Paystack, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. We retain a tokenized reference and the last four digits of your card for receipt and billing purposes.
2.4 Usage Data
We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service, including: your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, features used, time spent on pages, and interaction patterns. This data helps us improve the Service and is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy for details).
2.5 Device Information
We collect device-specific information such as screen resolution, device type (desktop, tablet, mobile), unique device identifiers, and language preferences to optimize your experience across different platforms.
3. How We Use Your Information
3.1 Purposes
We use the information we collect to: provide, maintain, and improve the Service; generate and host your resume PDFs and web portfolios; process payments and send billing receipts; communicate with you about your account, updates, and support inquiries; send marketing communications (only with your consent, and you can opt out at any time); detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems; analyze usage trends to improve our product and user experience; comply with legal obligations.
3.2 AI Writing Features
When you use our AI writing suggestions, the text you provide (such as a job title or bullet point draft) is sent to our AI model to generate improvement suggestions. This data is processed in real-time, is not permanently stored, is not used to train AI models, and is not shared with third parties. The generated suggestions are displayed to you and are not stored unless you explicitly save them to your resume.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on AWS servers in the United States and European Union, depending on your region. We implement industry-standard security measures including: AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, regular security audits and penetration testing, access controls and authentication requirements for our team, and automated monitoring for unauthorized access. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights
6.1 Rights You Have
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data: access and receive a copy of your data; correct inaccurate or incomplete data; delete your data (subject to certain legal exceptions); restrict or object to processing of your data; data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format; withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent as a legal basis.
6.2 Exercising Your Rights
You can exercise most of these rights directly from your account settings (under "Data & Privacy"). For requests that cannot be fulfilled through the app, contact us at privacy@resumebuilder.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days, or sooner where required by law.
6.3 European Users (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or Switzerland, your data is processed under the lawful bases outlined in this policy. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe our processing of your data violates the GDPR.
6.4 California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; request deletion of your personal information; opt out of the "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, accounting, or regulatory purposes (typically no longer than 3 years). Resume data associated with a deleted account is permanently purged and cannot be recovered.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 16, we will delete it promptly. 9. International Data Transfers
If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, to protect your data during international transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page and, for significant changes, by sending you an email notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
